Stryper - September 19, 2024 in Anderson, Indiana

On September 19, 2024, Stryper brought their unmistakable energy and Christian metal sound to Anderson, Indiana, with a performance that was both electrifying and spiritually uplifting. The concert, held at a medium-sized venue, had a packed house of fans—some long-time devotees and others newer to their music. The atmosphere before the show was buzzing with excitement, as anticipation hung heavy in the air.

Stryper didn’t hold back, delivering a powerful set that spanned their entire career. They kicked off the night with "Soldiers Under Command," a classic that immediately had the crowd singing along. Their mix of older hits like "To Hell with the Devil" and "Calling on You" blended seamlessly with newer material from albums like Even the Devil Believes and The Final Battle. Michael Sweet’s vocals were as strong as ever, hitting those high notes with precision, and the band’s harmonies remained tight throughout the night.

Guitarists Michael Sweet and Oz Fox were on fire, trading solos and delivering tight, riff-driven performances that showcased their technical abilities. Sweet’s signature scream punctuated the heavier tracks, while Fox’s solos were highlights in songs like "Yahweh." The rhythm section, led by Perry Richardson on bass and Robert Sweet on drums, was equally powerful, driving the show forward with precision and thunderous power.

Robert Sweet, often referred to as "The Visual Timekeeper," lived up to his name, putting on a mesmerizing performance with his unique sideways drum setup, adding a visual flair to his percussion skills. Perry Richardson’s stage presence was infectious, and his bass lines gave depth to the music, holding everything together.
